About The Position

The Dispatcher plays a key role in coordinating CFT Recycling's fleet operations, including roll-off, tow, clam, and transport trucks. This position ensures routes are optimized, schedules run smoothly, and safety and compliance remain top priorities. CFT Recycling is a locally owned leader in scrap metal recycling, dedicated to building a cleaner, greener future. Requirements

Knowledge of transportation regulations across Ontario and Quebec.
Proficiency with Google Workspace and dispatch/tracking software (e.g., Fleet Complete, ScrapIT, CRM).
Strong communication, problem-solving, and multitasking skills.

Nice To Haves

2+ years of experience in a dispatch or fleet coordination role preferred.
Bilingualism (English/French) is an asset.

Responsibilities

Schedule and dispatch drivers to ensure timely pick-ups and deliveries.
Plan and optimize routes for maximum efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
Maintain clear communication with drivers and provide real-time support.
Monitor vehicle locations and performance using dispatch systems.
Ensure compliance with transportation laws, safety standards, and company policies.
Collaborate with logistics and yard teams to coordinate daily operations.
Provide excellent customer service by managing inquiries and updates promptly.
