About The Position

This position is responsible for ensuring client needs and commitments are met by dispatching drivers and responding to their calls. The role involves ensuring compliance with DOT regulations, notifying drivers of assignments, and directing their activities to ensure timely cargo pickup and delivery. Maintaining shipment information, ensuring proper paperwork, and updating the database on all dispatched moves are key aspects of this role. Other duties may be assigned as needed.

Requirements

• Knowledge of local geographic market.
• Accurate typing skills and/or data entry skills.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide.
• Responds promptly and professionally to client needs.
• Read, comprehend and complete basic checklists, forms or other related documents.
• Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner.
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
• Good vision and depth perception required.
• Talking, hearing and using hands to operate computer equipment
• Vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus
• Job may require extended sitting or standing, use of standard office equipment.
• High School Diploma or GED
• Minimum 1 to 3 years, related experience.
• Minimum 1 year of industry experience preferred.
