About The Position

States Logistics Services, Inc. is a third-party logistics company (3PL) specializing in all aspects of supply chain management. States Logistics operates a combination of public and contract warehouses in Southern California and Arizona, servicing various industries. This role provides support to Class A drivers, ensuring smooth route operations and addressing any issues. The dispatcher will communicate with drivers to correct errors, make independent decisions for route assignments to ensure on-time delivery, provide customer updates, and complete various reports. Other clerical duties may be assigned by a Supervisor or Manager.

Requirements

• Excellent communication and computer skills
• Must be able to multi-task
• Critical thinking: must be able to adapt to ever-changing scenarios and readjust using the most economical plan.
• Successful candidates will have to pass a pre-employment background.

Nice To Haves

• Experience working within a Truck Management System (TMS) preferred.
• Previous dispatching experience for Class A drivers strongly preferred
• Knowledge of the Phoenix metro area to facilitate efficient routing

Responsibilities

• Provide support to the Class A drivers (Local) on duty, ensuring that the routes run smoothly and addressing any issues that may arise.
• Communicate with drivers when errors occur with route assignments to get them back on track to be updated in real-time.
• Ability to work independently and make decisions for drivers/route assignments to ensure OTD for pickup and deliveries.
• Provide customer updates on pickup and/or delivery status via email, websites, and/or phone.
• Update information on various reports for both internal and external customers.
• Other clerical duties assigned by the Supervisor or Manager.
