About The Position

American Disposal is looking for a high energy Dispatcher/Scheduler to join the team at our hauling location in Manassas, VA. This role involves working in conjunction with other departments to resolve customer disputes and demonstrating proficiency in proprietary operational systems. The position requires analyzing and resolving customer inquiries regarding missed pick-ups, misplaced containers, and property damage. You will also assist drivers when pick-ups or deliveries are in question before servicing, and schedule and dispatch work to various employees and departments throughout the day. Effective use of software applications, including MS Word and Excel, is essential. The role requires delivering services to customers in a manner that promotes goodwill, interacting with customers daily, and working in a fast-paced, cooperative, high call volume environment. Additionally, you will be responsible for soliciting sales of new or additional services.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent preferred
2 years of Dispatcher experience in a transportation or logistics atmosphere preferred
Excellent organization and communication skills, both orally and written
Proficient in MS Word and Excel

Responsibilities
