About The Position

Reporting to the Dispatch Manager, the Dispatcher role is accountable for driver success and responsible for all items related to ensuring the driver hits all operational targets while maintaining a professional safety record. Our mission is to become the industry leader of the driver experience. We consider the driver to be the front line of our company. We strive to consistently surpass driver expectations by supporting all drivers to successfully meet utilization targets while honoring home time. Our fleet team will not be satisfied until every driver has successfully met their full potential.

  • Post-secondary education related to recruitment such as Human Resources
  • Post-Secondary Education – Preferred
  • Logistics / Supply Chain experience an asset

Responsibilities

  • Live System Management: Ensure late to start and complete are live and up to date, all driver PTAs are updated, all order ETAs are updated, any service disruptions are entered (Service Alerts), cross border shipments are processed for customs clearance, and all loads’ assignments are dispatched and confirmed.
  • Driver Performance Management: Manage tractor and driver utilization, driver time off, driver discipline and documentation, safety and compliance, and continuous improvement and regulation compliance (Random, safety courses, etc.).
  • Communications Management: Ensure all pertinent information is flowing between the drivers and the operations team as well as any support departments. Emphasize customer requirements and needs to the drivers enabling operational success. Demonstrate urgency and timeliness.
