About The Position

This position is responsible for executing a daily plan for movement of all freight within an assigned area. The role involves assessing customer needs and timing of deliveries, managing the daily delivery schedule for drivers, and planning deliveries to inventory-managed retail gas outlets. The dispatcher will also receive orders from suppliers, gas station dealers, and renewable fuels distributors, and provide frontline customer service for existing accounts. Key tasks include answering incoming phone calls promptly and courteously, monitoring email for incoming orders, inventory updates, and team communication, and monitoring web portals for station inventories. The role also requires soliciting freight from customers, creating loads in the dispatch system, dividing dispatch responsibilities with other team members, and entering incidents into KITS (incident reporting system). On-call duties are also part of the responsibilities as needed.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Excellent conflict resolution and skills
  • Effective oral, written and interpersonal communication skills
