About The Position

This position is responsible for executing a daily plan for movement of all freight within an assigned area. The role involves assessing customer needs and timing of deliveries, managing the daily delivery schedule for drivers, and planning deliveries to inventory-managed retail gas outlets. The dispatcher will also receive orders from suppliers, gas station dealers, and renewable fuels distributors, and provide frontline customer service for existing accounts. Key tasks include answering incoming phone calls promptly and courteously, monitoring email for orders and updates, checking web portals for station inventories, soliciting freight from customers, creating loads in the dispatch system, and dividing dispatch responsibilities with other team members. The position also requires entering incidents into KITS (incident reporting system) and performing on-call duties as needed.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
Excellent conflict resolution and skills
Effective oral, written and interpersonal communication skills

Responsibilities

Solicit freight from customers.

Perform on-call duties as needed.
Promote positive work habits including effective and timely communication, teamwork and respect for co-workers.
Provide constructive guidance to other employees and representatives of third parties.
