Our goal is to empower you with the resources and flexibility and success on and off the job! S&W Ready Mix has an immediate opening for a Dispatcher/Customer Service Representative. This is a Hourly position reporting to the Dispatch Manager. The primary responsibility of this position is to facilitate the highest level of customer satisfaction including order taking, dispatching, scheduling of drivers and deliveries, delivery efficiency and inter-department communication.

Requirements

  • High School education or equivalent required, secondary education preferred
  • Two to four years’ experience in dispatch or logistics required; construction industry experience strongly preferred
  • Bilingual, English/Spanish required
  • Ability to work well under pressure; previous customer service experience in a high pressure/high volume environment required
  • Excellent PC skills, Excel, Outlook, Word; previous experience with Trimble a plus
  • Familiar with geographical areas in Castle Hayne, NC area
  • Must be able to work flexible hours and overtime
  • Good telephone and 2-way radio skills; ability to deal with internal and external customers in a courteous and professional manner

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for order taking, scheduling, and customer relations
  • Maintain efficient delivery controls through proper scheduling and accurate order entry into the dispatch system
  • Resolve transportation conflicts and handle unusual and difficult customer complaints
  • Provide customer support to ensure maximum efficiency
  • Embraces and enhances a performance based Safety Culture
  • Is positive and upbeat in all communications with customers and other departments
  • Relentlessly pursues a solution to every issue that a customer brings to them
  • Deep desire to exceed expectations of internal and external customers; not satisfied with just meeting expectations
  • Identify and communicate repairs and maintenance of logistics communication equipment
