To schedule and plan either batches of trucks, both interstate and daily express vehicles, and crews, or the entire fleet and corresponding crews based on supporting dispatch employees’ schedules. This role involves confirming delivery and collection details, assisting with daily trucking schedules, and ensuring all paperwork is complete and accurate. The position also requires mapping out-of-state and overnight trips, monitoring driver hours for regulatory compliance, and potentially performing cost analysis for interstate trips to manage profitability. Additionally, the Dispatch Manager will act as a business manager for interstate trips, generating business through client management teams when necessary. The role may also involve handling general calls, supporting transport crews, coordinating vehicle movements, monitoring DVIRs and logbooks, assisting with truck maintenance, and ensuring the cleanliness and condition of vehicles and the loading dock. Collaboration with the Operations Manager, Warehouse Support Team, and Warehouse Manager is essential.
