About The Position

At Wolseley Canada, a leading wholesale distributor of plumbing, HVAC/R, waterworks, and industrial products, the Dispatch Manager will supervise Wolseley fleet drivers and dispatch staff across multiple locations. This role is crucial for ensuring safety, positive customer interactions, and efficient delivery operations. The manager will oversee routing using Wolseley software, plan and execute the centralization of dispatchers for regional delivery timetables, and collaborate with customer service and operations teams to resolve issues. Requirements

  • Previous dispatching experience required
  • General basic computer skills including Microsoft Office is required
  • Exceptional customer service and communication skills
  • Must be dependable and reliable and willing to take initiative
  • Must be organized, clean and able to multi-task
  • This position requires the result of a satisfactory criminal record check.

Nice To Haves

  • AS400/Syntax is an asset
  • Knowledge of industry (Plumbing and or HVAC) products is an asset

Responsibilities

  • Supervise Wolseley fleet drivers at multiple locations to ensure safety and positive interactions with our customers and internal staff
  • Oversee routing via Wolseley software to ensure the warehouses have accurate data to plan facility resourcing to ensure daily orders are complete in time for loading to deliver.
  • Plan and execute centralization of dispatchers to oversee regional delivery timetables.
  • Supervise and lead dispatch staff, including hiring, training, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions.
  • Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork and continuous improvement.
  • Implement safety protocols and maintain a safe working environment.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA and other relevant regulations.
  • Collaborate with the customer service team and operations team to resolve customer inquiries and issues related to Dispatch operations as well as Fleet operations.
