About The Position

Didion Orf Recycling is a leading provider of recycling and scrap metal management services. We specialize in the collection, processing, and selling of metals and electronics, contributing to a sustainable future. We’re seeking to hire an experienced Dispatcher/Scale Coordinator. Two shifts available: M-F 6:30 am to 3:00 pm with occasional Saturdays, or Off Monday, T-F 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, Sat 8:00 am to 12:00 pm.

Requirements

Previous experience in dispatching, transportation, logistics, scale operations and customer service.
Strong communication and customer service skills.
Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong computer and data entry skills.
Ability to solve problems and adapt to changing priorities.

Nice To Haves

Prior knowledge and/or strong interest in learning about the scrap metal and recycling industry is preferred.

Responsibilities

Schedule and coordinate inbound and outbound truck deliveries.
Dispatch drivers and monitor routes throughout the day.
Communicate with drivers, customers, and internal teams regarding schedules and delivery updates.
Operate truck scales and process weight tickets.
Create and maintain transportation and shipment records.
Assist with load scheduling, routing, and logistics coordination.
Process paperwork and enter information into company systems.
Answer phones, emails, and inquiries.
Communicate with and support daily yard, shipping and receiving and transportation operations.
