About The Position

Provide U.S. Army Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) Special Operations Forces (SOF) training and expertise in all facets of SOF support operations for EOD integration. Provide subject matter expertise (SME) training on SOF organizational structure, doctrine, mission profiles, tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTP), weapon system familiarization, specialized equipment and PPE configuration, optics, and communications systems. Plan, develop, execute, and assess training based on common activities within SOF. Provide realistic scenario planning, development, implementation, and execution of exercise tools and controls on SOF activities. Develop training to accommodate classroom and hands-on individual and collective task training at the operational Platoon and Team level to provide support to SOF. Act as a liaison to coordinate field training or pre-mission training (PMT). This position requires the ability to travel to training locations.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in the U.S. Army
  • 8+ years of experience with SOF
  • 5+ years of experience on a Special Operations Team, Platoon, or company
  • Experience with three or more deployments conducting SOF operations in austere locations
  • Experience in military training methods and techniques
  • Knowledge of Special Operation missions outside the U.S.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time
  • Secret clearance
  • HS diploma or GED

  • Experience in Curriculum Training Development
  • Experience with Weapons Technical Intelligence
  • Experience producing written reports and evaluations, preparing briefings, and presenting briefings at a company level and higher
  • Experience training with and countering advanced Homemade Explosives, including types, employment, and effects
  • Experience in countering CBRN operations
  • Knowledge of countering C-IEDs, including principles such as enablers, site exploitation, and search in support of SOF units, and equipment such as handheld detector operations and CREW devices
