About The Position

KBR's National Security Solutions team provides high-end engineering and advanced technology solutions to customers in the intelligence and national security communities. In this position, your work will have a profound impact on the country’s most critical role – protecting our national security. KBR is seeking an Action Officer to provide Director's Action Group (DAG) support in accordance with established organization/office policies, regulations, and procedures in Chantilly, VA. The Action Officer directs and oversees the receipt, tasking, tracking and closure of all internal and external tasks; and manages the action tracking system. The Action Officer establishes and maintains effective working relationships with customers and other stakeholders of the Directorate/Office both internally and externally.

Requirements

Current TS/SCI Poly clearance is required for this position
10+ years of experience within any Government OR target 5 years within IC or DoD
Bachelor's Degree preferred.
Demonstrated experience in one or more of the following areas: federal acquisitions, Department of Defense (DoD) or the /Intelligence Community (IC) budget & finance processes, and National Security policy
Demonstrated experience in systems engineering or project/program management or both
Demonstrated experience working with senior executives at multiple organizational levels
Demonstrated experience using Microsoft Office and standard computer applications
Demonstrated experience adapting to a rapidly changing work environment while maintaining flexibility and versatility
Demonstrated experience fostering solid relationships that promote cooperation and communicate expectations
Demonstrated experience analyzing situations and make well informed decisions
Demonstrated experience communicating effectively and concisely using a variety of styles and techniques appropriate to the audience
Demonstrated ability in oral and written communication skills sufficient to compose and deliver clear and concise responses

Responsibilities

Perform and maintain DAG support functions to include calendar management, executive communications, recognition programs, training, travel, security
Draft, proofread, edit and provide final review of internal and external correspondence
Coordinate and maintain presentations for audiences up to the Customer level; maintain a quality control process for all presentations
Schedule and provide support for internal engineering committees, Integrated Process Teams (IPT), working groups and task forces
Support Customer Tracking Information and Enterprise Response (TIER) actions for supported office: Analyze TIERs to route for appropriate completion, Monitor and reporting completion progress for managed TIERs, Coordinate responses and assess for accuracy, Provide consolidated responses to Senior Management for review, Complete assigned TIERs using provided instructions
Develop written Standard Operating Procedures for the TIER process
Generate TIER and related metrics
Prepare periodic reports, as required
Provide status updates on new, pending, and late actions
Coordinate responses and assess for accuracy prior to senior management review
Manage and execute the action tracking process; develop standard operating procedures and serve as facilitator for user requirements
Monitor progress on actions, generate metrics to demonstrate accountability for meeting deadlines and quality expectations; prepare periodic reports on action status and keep leadership aware of late, pending and new actions
Disseminate policy and legislative changes to appropriate parties internal to the Customer
Participate in DAG related meetings
Manage records generated during the execution of the Directorates' projects and programs in accordance with Federal laws and regulations, as well as Customer Directives and Instructions.
Create and assist in the preparation and development of reports, briefings and presentations for various audiences
Assist with event planning, attend and facilitate meetings, workshops, conferences and working group sessions, track status and milestones, and provide summary of meetings and meeting minutes when requested.
