About The Position

Come be a part of our legacy! Join Hermitage Country Club, a private, member-owned club that is one of the largest in Virginia. This position is primarily responsible for cleaning and sanitizing all equipment used by the food and beverage personnel.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
Food safety certification
Proficient knowledge of chemicals and MSDS
Able to regularly lift, push, pull and /or move up to 50 pounds
Able to stand for long periods and walk, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend
Continuous repetitive motions
Work in hot, humid, and noisy environment
Unpredictable working hours based on members needs and business demands
A pre-employment drug screening is required.

Responsibilities

Wash and polish all stainless steel in kitchen, including shelves, dish cabinets, ice machines, coffee area, refrigerators, walk-in's, dishwasher and surrounding area.
Store dishes and other wares in proper area.
Collect trash from kitchen areas; empty garbage barrels in dumpsters then wash and reline with new bags.
Wash and clean receiving area and trash areas.
Sweep and mop kitchen floor.
Follow proper procedures for working the dish machine and pot sink area.
Perform other tasks such as assisting in food preparation, put away deliveries, clean coolers, freezers and store rooms.
Establish and adhere to food cost goals for banquet functions; take corrective action if necessary to assure that financial goals are attained.
Operate food production equipment according to manufacturer's instructions.
Maintain highest sanitary standards in all areas.
Adhere to state and local health safety in all work areas.
Maintain neat and professional appearance and observe personal cleanliness rules at all times.
