About The Position

The Dishwasher helps maintain Flanigan’s restaurants by ensuring dishes, kitchen equipment, and work areas are clean and sanitized to company standards. The role follows safety and sanitation procedures and supports the kitchen team with cleaning, preparation, opening and closing, and beautification duties. Work takes place in a damp, high-temperature environment indoors and minimally outdoors.

Requirements

• Be able to stand and walk for 100% of the shift.
• Be able to reach, bend, and stoop.
• Frequently immerse hands in water diluted with chemical solutions.
• Be able to speak, read, and write English.
• Be able to lift up to 50 pounds several times per shift and lift heavy loads to high shelves, coolers, and freezers.
• Work in a damp, high-temperature environment indoors and minimally outdoors.
• Work safely with hot plates, pots, and pans.
• Work safely with sharp knives and utensils.
• Complete and pass the food safety certification program.

Responsibilities

• Follow all company safety and sanitation policies and procedural training.
• Wash and provide clean, sanitized plateware, glassware, silverware, pots, pans, and kitchen utensils according to Flanigan’s sanitation policies.
• Clean and sanitize throughout the shift.
• Maintain kitchen cleanliness, including sweeping and mopping floors and removing debris.
• Perform assigned prep work, opening and closing duties, and beautification duties.
• Prepare and maintain the dish machine at opening, during business hours, and at closing.
• Support fellow employees as needed.
• Complete and pass the food safety certification program in compliance with Flanigan’s policies and Florida statutes.
