About The Position

Dinosaur Bar-B-Que is seeking a Dishwasher to join their Syracuse team. The Dishwasher supports smooth kitchen operations by maintaining a clean, sanitary, and organized kitchen while ensuring dishes, cookware, and equipment are properly cleaned and maintained. The Dishwasher assists the kitchen team as needed and follows established sanitation and food safety standards.

Requirements

• Knowledge of basic food safety, sanitation, and cleaning procedures.
• Ability to safely operate and maintain a commercial dish machine and other cleaning equipment.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment and remain active throughout the shift.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and established sanitation procedures.
• Ability to manage assigned tasks, prioritize work, and maintain an organized workflow.
• Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and maintain a positive, team-oriented approach.
• Ability to communicate effectively with kitchen team members and management.
• Ability to identify and communicate equipment, supply, or workflow concerns to management.

Responsibilities

• Scrape, pre-rinse, and wash dishes, cookware, pots, pans, trays, and utensils using the dish machine or by hand.
• Assemble, operate, maintain, and break down the dish machine according to established procedures.
• Maintain clean, sanitary, and organized kitchen work areas, equipment, plateware, and utensils.
• Clean and sanitize work surfaces, tables, walls, refrigeration equipment, floors, garbage cans, and trash receptacles.
• Remove trash and garbage to designated disposal areas.
• Complete daily and weekly cleaning duties according to food safety and sanitation standards.
• Maintain adequate supplies of clean dishes, cookware, utensils, and other kitchen items to support service.
• Assist cooks, prep, and other kitchen team members as needed to support smooth and efficient operations.
• Follow company, state, and county sanitation and food safety standards.
