About The Position

The Dishwasher is a part-time evening position on the Dishwashing PM team in a professional kitchen. The role requires availability from 3:00 p.m. until closing and availability on Saturdays and Sundays. The employee cleans food delivery, storage, and preparation areas; may help receive, store, and distribute food and beverage products; and cleans and maintains china, glassware, silverware, and cooking utensils. The position also involves kitchen cleaning, sanitation, recycling, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment.

Requirements

Available to work from 3:00 p.m. until closing.
Available to work Saturdays and Sundays.

Responsibilities

Clean dishes and perform related kitchen cleaning and sanitation duties.
Sweep and mop kitchen areas, break down the dishwasher, and check the overall condition of the kitchen daily.
May train new dish machine operators in pre-scraping and pre-spraying soiled dishes, pots, and pans; racking glassware and dishes; sorting silverware; and washing pots and pans in a triple sink.
May ensure dish machine operators know how to set up the dish machine and check levels of washing supplies such as soap and rinse aid.
Advise the Chef when dish-area equipment needs maintenance or chemicals are needed.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment in the dish areas and kitchen.
Assist with collecting recycled kitchen refuse and properly disposing of items in the trash compactor or recycling bins.
Perform monthly cleaning of kitchens and equipment, including hood cleaning and other special cleaning needs.
Clean and maintain china, glassware, silverware, and cooking utensils.
Help receive, store, and distribute food and beverage products.
Perform other duties as assigned.
