Kitchen - Dishwasher (Part Time)
About The Position
The Part Time Evening Dishwasher supports the dishwashing team in a professional kitchen. The role cleans food delivery, storage, and preparation areas; assists with receiving, storing, and distributing food and beverage products; and cleans and maintains china, glassware, silverware, and cooking utensils. The position requires availability from 3:00 p.m. until closing and on Saturdays and Sundays. The Dishwasher performs dishwashing and related kitchen cleaning and sanitation duties, including sweeping, mopping, breaking down the dishwasher, and maintaining the overall condition of the kitchen. The role may train new dish machine operators on proper dish and cookware handling, dish machine setup, and supply checks. It also helps maintain a clean and safe work environment, supports recycling and refuse disposal, and performs monthly kitchen and equipment cleaning, including hood cleaning and other special cleaning tasks. Other duties may be assigned.

Responsibilities
- Clean food delivery, storage, and preparation areas.
- Assist with receiving, storing, and distributing food and beverage products.
- Clean and maintain china, glassware, silverware, and cooking utensils.
- Perform dishwashing and related kitchen cleaning and sanitation duties.
- Sweep and mop, break down the dishwasher, and maintain the overall condition of the kitchen daily.
- May train new dish machine operators in pre-scraping and pre-spraying dishes and cookware, racking glassware and dishes, sorting silverware, and washing pots and pans in a triple sink.
- May ensure dish machine operators know how to set up the dish machine and check washing supply levels, including soap and rinse supplies.
- Advise the Chef when dish-area equipment needs maintenance or chemicals are needed.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment in dish areas and the kitchen.
- Assist with collecting recycled kitchen refuse and disposing of items in the trash compactor or recycling bins.
- Perform monthly cleaning of kitchens and equipment, such as hood cleaning and other special cleaning needs.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
