About The Position

The Dishwasher performs janitorial and utility duties to maintain the safety and cleanliness of assigned areas while contributing to teamwork and guest service at Hotel Carmichael, Autograph Collection. The role includes cleaning floors, walls, floor mats, trash containers, storage areas, and equipment; maintaining walk-in refrigerators and the loading dock; and participating in dish-area operations. The Dishwasher follows company, safety, and sanitation policies and procedures, works with industrial cleaning supplies, and may work with minimal supervision. Nights, weekends, and overtime may be required. Additional duties may be assigned or revised according to business volume and current needs.

Requirements

• Ability to follow verbal and written directions.
• Ability to work with industrial cleaning supplies.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Ability to successfully multitask several duties at one time.
• Sufficient strength to perform job responsibilities.
• Ability to lift or transport at least 50 pounds.
• Ability to push or pull carts and other equipment weighing up to 250 pounds.
• Ability to stand and maintain well-paced mobility for up to four hours at a time.
• Ability to perform activities including constant standing and walking and frequent bending, reaching, kneeling, and squatting.
• Wear closed-toe, non-canvas shoes with non-skid soles.

Responsibilities

• Sweep and mop floors and clean walls and floor mats.
• Remove refuse, clean trash containers, keep the loading dock orderly, and pick up trash in the kitchen and loading dock area.
• Maintain walk-in refrigerators.
• Keep storage areas, tools, equipment, carts, and other assigned areas and items clean.
• Participate in dish-area operations as assigned and return items that are not sufficiently clean for a second wash.
• Change and dispose of grease.
• Maintain awareness of safety and accident prevention; notify the Manager and complete an accident/incident report if an accident occurs.
• Assist fellow associates as needed.
• Report maintenance problems and other problem areas to the designated Manager on Duty.
• Follow company, safety, and sanitation policies and procedures and ensure compliance.
