About The Position

House of Seven Brothers is hiring a Dishwasher to help keep the kitchen running smoothly, work alongside a great crew, and play an important role in creating a great guest experience. As a Dishwasher, you will wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, and/or pans using dishwashers or by hand. You will also maintain kitchen work areas, equipment, and utensils in clean and orderly condition. This role involves monitoring other areas such as catering, the kitchen, and the employee lounge, and assisting in the day-to-day operation of the kitchen by being a team player. Dishwashers may also have freight duties, which include organizing storage areas, breaking down boxes, ensuring stocking follows all regulations and procedures (keeping food items off floors, labeling items with dates, and rotating products using the FIFO method).

Requirements

  • No experience necessary.
  • Knowledge of basic dish machine operations preferred.
  • Must possess outstanding interpersonal communications skills to effectively interface with guests and other team members.
  • Able to learn basic tasks and follow instructions.
  • Strong organization, prioritization, and multiple-tasking skills.
  • Strong attention to detail, and a commitment to quality.
  • Highly adaptable with the ability to adjust to change in a positive manner.
  • Native American hiring preference for qualified candidates.

Responsibilities

  • Wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, and/or pans using dishwashers or by hand.
  • Maintain kitchen work areas, equipment, and utensils in clean and orderly condition.
  • Monitor other areas such as catering, kitchen, and employee lounge.
  • Assist in the day-to-day operation of the kitchen by being a team player.
  • Perform freight duties as assigned, including organizing storage areas, breaking down boxes, ensuring stocking follows all regulations and procedures (keeping food items off floors, labeling items with dates, and rotating products using the FIFO method).
  • Separate dirty dishes, glass, and flatware delivered on bus trays and/or bus tubs.
  • Operate dishwashing equipment, ensuring proper use of chemicals and safety procedures.
  • Use proper measurements of detergent and sanitizer in the dish machine.
  • Place clean dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment in storage areas.
  • Sort and remove trash, placing it in designated pickup areas.
  • Clean garbage cans with water or steam.
  • Clean and organize work station to ensure proper sanitation standards are maintained.
  • Stock supplies such as food and utensils in serving stations, cupboards, refrigerators, and salad bars.
  • Transfer supplies and equipment between storage and work areas.
  • Follow all safety and sanitation rules and regulations.
  • Follow all general and department policies and procedures.
