About The Position

The Dishwasher works efficiently to clean and sanitize dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment so that kitchen and service areas run smoothly. The role maintains a clean and organized workspace, follows safety and sanitation procedures, and ensures the kitchen team has the tools and equipment it needs ready for use. Team members are expected to provide friendly, polite, and knowledgeable customer service, greet customers personally, and prioritize customer assistance over other tasks. The position requires full availability and may involve supporting other kitchen tasks, including preparation work and assisting customers, as needed.

Ability to perform repetitive motions involving the wrists, hands, and/or fingers for the duration of a shift.
Ability to communicate with others to exchange information.
Ability to move into different positions, including in tight and confined spaces.

Responsibilities

Provide friendly, polite, and knowledgeable customer service; greet customers personally and thank them for shopping at Adams.
Operate dishwashing machines or wash items by hand, monitoring water temperature to ensure sanitary machine wash cycles.
Clean and sanitize dishes, equipment, preparation areas, and production areas during the shift and at closing; put dishes and equipment away once dry.
Clean and mop floors, keep work-area floors clean and dry, and maintain clean, organized department storage areas.
Receive deliveries, check weights for accuracy, and match inventory to bills.
Bag trash and dispose of it in the compactor; handle recycling.
Fill in as needed to support smooth and efficient department operations, including performing prep work or assisting customers.
Prioritize helping customers over the task at hand when assistance is needed.
Safely operate the commercial dishwasher and clean kitchen dishware, pots, utensils, and knives.
