About The Position

Bloomingdale’s is seeking an experienced Utility Person/Dishwasher to support the Forty Carrots Restaurant at its 59th Street location. The role helps deliver an outstanding experience to restaurant guests by maintaining dishwashing, cleaning, stocking, and beverage-station operations. The position requires no prior experience, though restaurant or kitchen industry experience is preferred. Hourly associates may be eligible for a quarterly bonus incentive when certain criteria are met.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handle multiple priorities, and learn new procedures.
Ability to work as a team member in a learning environment.
Ability to communicate effectively with customers, peers, and management.
Ability to work a flexible retail schedule, including weekends, extended hours, and key event days.
General knowledge of cleaning procedures.

Nice To Haves

Prior restaurant or kitchen industry experience.

Responsibilities

Set up, operate, and break down a commercial dishwashing unit.
Wash pots and pans as needed.
Restock and maintain areas for china, silver, and small-wares.
Properly clean and close the kitchen at the end of the day.
Clean the restaurant and work station.
Set up the beverage station daily.
Stock and organize supplies.
