Requirements

Maintain order and cleanliness in the kitchen and dining areas before, during and after meal service to ensure it always appears presentable to our residents.
When washing dishes, check temperatures and log as required including checking the sanitizer solution and logging required information.
Check dishes after washing to ensure cleanliness, prior to putting away.
Check soaps and sanitizers to ensure proper infection control guidelines are being adhered to
Clean all equipment and service ware daily, do not leave anything dirty overnight.
Clean floors in kitchen and dining room after every meal.
Empty garbage after every meal
Clean and Empty dishwasher after every meal.
Adhere to all OSHA regulations and safety procedures when lifting, bending, or using equipment.
Adhere to all universal precaution and all infection control guidelines.
Assists in other departments if needed.
Carry out all other reasonable tasks requested by the Director of Dietary or their designee.

Responsibilities

Responsible for running the dishwasher, washing all pots, pans, dishes etc., ensuring cleanliness prior to putting these items away.
Ensures all cookware and dishware are clean and put away prior to leaving for the day.
Must possess patience and tact dealing with residents, families, visitors and co-workers.
Must demonstrate overall positive image and attitude, must be neat, clean and well-groomed.
Promotes loyalty to the community among staff, always generate a positive attitude and image.
