About The Position

The Dishwasher is responsible for the cleanliness and sanitation of all dishes, glassware, tableware, and cooking utensils. This role also involves maintaining the cleanliness of the dish room, kitchen prep areas, and equipment to ensure a safe and efficient working environment. The typical hours for this position are 7am-1pm.

Requirements

  • Compensation: $18 - $18

Responsibilities

  • Operate industrial dishwashing machines to clean chinaware, silverware, and glassware.
  • Hand-wash large pots, pans, and delicate items as required.
  • Monitor water temperatures and chemical levels (detergent/sanitizer) to ensure effective cleaning cycles.
  • Report any mechanical issues to the Kitchen Manager immediately.
  • Sort and store clean service ware in their proper locations to prevent breakage and ensure availability for the restaurant and banquet teams.
  • Assist chefs and prep cooks by cleaning food preparation areas, scrubbing ovens/grills, and maintaining clean floors (sweeping and mopping).
  • Bag and haul kitchen trash and recycling to the appropriate dumpsters and maintain the cleanliness of the loading dock area.
  • Adhere to all health department regulations and hotel safety standards, including the proper handling of cleaning chemicals.
