About The Position

Responsible for helping to achieve ongoing guest satisfaction and team goals as a tool for continuous improvement. Responsible for cleaning and organizing all dishware in the restaurant. Responsible for adhering to all safety and sanitary precautions.

Requirements

  • Come to work at your scheduled time, ready to work, and in clean/approved uniform.
  • Employee required to be able to lift 45lbs following appropriate bending procedures (i.e. bend with knees).
  • If an item is more than 45lbs, you are to seek assistance in lifting.
  • Must be capable of how to read, write, and speak English fluently.

Responsibilities

  • Clean and sanitize all dishes and glasses through dish machine.
  • Ensure cleanliness of dishes and glasses before placing on drying rack.
  • Clean and sanitize all silverware, run through dish machine on flat rack and sort silverware with handles up in rack and run through machine again.
  • Clean and sanitize all pots, pans and utensils through dish machine.
  • Make sure all dishes are dry before putting away.
  • Clean dish table often and at end of shift.
  • Change water in bus tubs periodically during shift and at end of shift for next dishwasher.
  • Clean three compartment sink.
  • Place all pots, pans, utensils, dishes, glasses, flatware back to their appropriate places in kitchen and server area.
  • The dish shelves should be empty at end of shift.
  • On delivery days help cooks put stock away in the designated area.
  • Sweep and mop entire kitchen, walk in, and storage room.
  • Always follow ServSafe food handling, preparation, and workplace safety procedures.
  • Take out trash to dumpster when needed.
  • Break down all boxes and take to dumpster.
  • Dish machine water needs to be changed and baskets cleaned at least once per shift and at end of shift.
  • Clean outside of dish machine also.
  • Clean glass rack shelf.
  • Do not store clean glasses in front of hand sink!
  • Help cooks with light prep work when needed (i.e. stocking product or cooking).
  • Keep all hand sinks clean.
  • Maintain good relations with fellow employees.
  • All of these duties are to be completed before end of shift.
  • Responsible for making sure all tasks are completed on the opening and closing checklists during each shift.
  • Be ready available/approachable for all guests.
  • Take proactive effort when dealing with guest concerns.
  • Extend professionalism and courtesy to guests at all times.
  • Carry out all reasonable requests by leadership team.
  • Comply with department uniform and appearance standards.
