About The Position

The Utility Person / Dishwasher is responsible for duties that support guests’ dining experience, with a focus on cleanliness and dishwashing. The role includes maintaining general cleanliness inside and outside the restaurant, providing clean dishes and silverware, and helping ensure the restaurant is a pleasant and safe environment for guests and coworkers. It also supports restaurant operations by stocking work areas, keeping the utility area organized, and bringing equipment or facility problems to the Manager’s attention.

Responsibilities

• Provide clean, sparkling silverware and dishes to guests.
• Clean the inside of the restaurant to maintain a pleasant and safe environment for guests and coworkers.
• Clean around the outside of the building and the parking lot.
• Check, clean, and stock restrooms.
• Empty trash into the dumpster and keep the dumpster, trash cans, and back dock area clean.
• Thoroughly clean and organize the utility area.
• Perform the duty roster and ensure cleanliness, service, and quality standards are met.
• Follow local health department laws.
• Stock Cook, Line, and Server areas with appropriate glasses, silverware, and dishes.
• Maintain excellent organization, speed, and cleanliness.
• Bring equipment and facility problems to the attention of the Manager.
• Know and follow position responsibilities related to just-in-time delivery.
