About The Position

The Dishwasher works at the SuViche Commissary warehouse, washing and cleaning tableware, pots, pans, and cooking equipment while keeping the dishroom and equipment clean and organized. The warehouse has a different workload and volume from a restaurant, with equipment that includes large pots, trays, large totes, and large cutting boards. The role works as part of a team with other back-of-house positions and may fill in as needed to support smooth operations. The schedule is Monday through Friday, with no weekends.

Requirements

Previous restaurant experience is required; commercial kitchen experience is preferred.
Ability to work for long periods in a hot, wet, humid, and loud environment.
Ability to lift, reach, bend, and stoop.
Ability to stand for long periods, up to 10 hours.
Ability to safely lift bags, cases, and stacks weighing up to 60 pounds.

Responsibilities

Load, run, and unload the dish machine.
Keep the dish machine clean and promptly report functional or mechanical problems.
Monitor dish machine water temperature to ensure a sanitary wash cycle.
Wash and store tableware and kitchenware.
Keep the dishroom clean and organized.
Maintain adequate supplies of clean tableware for the dining room and kitchen.
Bag and haul dishroom trash to the dumpster at designated times.
Handle tableware carefully to prevent breakage and loss.
Maintain adequate levels of dish detergents and cleaning supplies.
Clean food preparation and production areas as required.
Fill in as needed to help ensure smooth and efficient operations, as directed by the restaurant manager or immediate supervisor.
Follow the company cleaning chart and keep all areas spotless.
Complete cleaning charts and daily checklists.
Keep floors, trash areas, restrooms, and dish areas clean at all times.
Immediately clean and dry spills to prevent accidents.
