About The Position

Responsible for washing and sanitizing tableware, pots and pans, and utensils during restaurant operations. The Dishwasher maintains the dishwashing station and associated equipment, keeps the kitchen free of garbage and spills, and follows sanitation and chemical-safety procedures. The role operates in accordance with applicable Leech Lake Gaming policies, Tribal Internal Controls, and other regulations, and requires sensitivity to Native American culture and confidentiality.

Requirements

Must be dependable and reliable.
Ability to work flexible hours, rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays.
Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds and stand for long periods.
Must meet Tribal/State compact licensing requirements, pass a criminal background check, and submit to drug testing.
No prior experience is necessary.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or General Education Equivalency (GED) preferred.

Responsibilities

Maintain the dishwashing machine and all associated equipment at the dishwashing station.
Thoroughly wash and store plates, silverware, glassware, pots and pans, and utensils in their proper locations.
Keep the kitchen free of garbage and spills.
Comply with state and local sanitation policies.
Know where soaps and cleaning chemicals are stored and follow proper use and safety precautions for all chemicals.
Follow proper procedures for removing trash to outside dumpsters.
Maintain knowledge of events throughout the property.
Attend and/or facilitate mandatory meetings and training.
Maintain confidentiality at all times and show sensitivity to Native American culture.
Operate within applicable Leech Lake Gaming human resources and departmental policies, Tribal Internal Controls, and other regulations.
Secure the assets of Leech Lake Gaming and the Leech Lake Band of Ojibwe.
Perform other duties as assigned.
