About The Position
At Verve Coffee Roasters, the Dishwasher helps maintain the cleanliness and efficiency of the kitchen. The role is responsible for washing, sanitizing, and properly storing dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment. Attention to detail and a strong work ethic contribute to the overall success of the café. The position also supports kitchen cleanup and cleanliness in back-of-house, bar, and patio areas, follows company procedures, and calls for a passion for coffee. Hours may be part-time or full-time depending on availability. Weekend and holiday availability is required, and hours may fluctuate based on business needs. Compensation is commensurate with experience and location.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a dishwasher or in a similar role is preferred.
- Knowledge of proper sanitation and safety procedures.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and stand for long periods.
- Strong attention to detail and a positive attitude.
- Ability to work well as part of a team.
- Must be 18 years or older.
- Ability to multitask and deal with ambiguity in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
- Must be inclusive, respectful, and professional.
- Occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
- Must be available to work weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities
- Wash dishes, glasses, utensils, and kitchen equipment by hand or using dishwashers.
- Clean and sanitize items according to health and safety standards.
- Organize and properly store clean dishes and utensils.
- Assist with kitchen cleanup tasks as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness in back-of-house, bar, and patio areas.
- Follow Verve policies, procedures, and processes.
