About The Position

This part-time, weekends-only position at Atwater’s Kenilworth in Towson assists kitchen staff with preparing breakfast, lunch, and dinner offerings and maintains kitchen operations by cleaning dishes, equipment, and workspaces for front- and back-of-house teams. The role also helps ensure a positive company image by providing “service that makes your day” to customers and staff members. Work is in person in a bakery, casual dining restaurant, coffee shop, or fast-casual restaurant setting. The schedule is an eight-hour evening shift on Saturdays and Sundays. No experience is required to apply. Compensation is $15.00 per hour.

Requirements

• Able to follow instructions and procedures.
• Able to read labels and directions on chemicals.
• Able to follow workplace safety procedures.
• Able to operate all necessary equipment.
• Able to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Able to bend and lift loads not exceeding 50 pounds.
• No experience required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food to be served under the direction of kitchen staff and management.
• Wash dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, and pans using a dishwasher or by hand.
• Sort dirty dishes into racks for the dish machine and restock clean dishes on shelves for service.
• Change the water and clean out the dish machine.
• Fill and empty soak tubs with cleaning and sanitizing solutions.
• Sort and remove garbage, placing it in the designated area.
• Clean garbage bins.
• Sweep, mop, and scrub floors, including mats.
• Clean spills in the kitchen and service area.
