About The Position
The Dishwasher/Porter supports kitchen and event operations at the Sacramento Holiday Inn by cleaning and sanitizing kitchen equipment, preparation areas, walk-ins, and storage spaces. The role washes and stores dishes and cookware, handles trash and recycling, helps maintain the dock area, and assists kitchen and event teams with setup, breakdown, and occasional dish-up tasks. The position helps maintain sanitation standards throughout food and beverage workspaces. No prior experience is required; training is provided.
Requirements
- Food Safety Certificate or willingness to complete training within 90 days.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand, bend, or squat for long periods.
- Team player with a strong work ethic and attention to detail.
- Flexibility to work mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, preparation areas, walk-ins, and storage spaces.
- Wash and store dishes, pots, pans, glasses, and utensils in designated areas.
- Manage trash and recycling, clean bins, and maintain the dock area.
- Support kitchen and event teams with setup, breakdown, and occasional dish-up assistance.
- Help ensure consistent sanitation standards across food and beverage workspaces.
