About The Position
Under the direction of the Chef de Cuisine, Darya is seeking a seasonal Dishwasher/Kitchen Steward to support our kitchen team by maintaining cleanliness and organization to ensure a smooth workflow in the kitchen, while adhering to safety and hygiene standards.
Requirements
- Previous experience working in a dishwasher role or similar environment an asset
- Strong attention to detail
- The ability to take direction and remain calm under pressure while working in a fast-paced environment
- Organizational skills and an ability to multi-task
- Able to spend 100% of the time standing
- The ability to handle heavy lifting up 50 lbs
Responsibilities
- Operating dishwashers efficiently
- Washing glassware and flatware
- Polishing all glassware and flatware
- Cleaning and sanitizing dishwasher mats, dish carts and dish racks
- Responsible for receiving, stocking and organizing food and supply orders
- Safely handling and storing cleaning products
- General dish area maintenance which includes sweeping, mopping, organization and removal of garbage and compost
- Other duties or responsibilities as assigned
