About The Position
Nothing Bundt Cakes Nashville is hiring a part-time Dishwasher and Bakery Assistant. This role offers flexible scheduling, with shifts typically falling between Monday and Saturday, 15-25 hours per week. The bakery is closed on Sundays and major holidays, providing excellent hours for a balanced work schedule. The position involves washing dishes, maintaining cleanliness of the bakery, assisting bakers and frosters, and performing general cleaning duties. This role requires good physical stamina as you will be active and on your feet for several hours at a time.
Requirements
- Able to understand written and oral directions
- Ability to interpret instructional documents such as operating procedures and health and safety rules
- Ability to perform repetitious, physical tasks
- Strength to lift items of moderate to heavyweight (as much as 50 pounds)
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time
- Ability to evaluate processes, information, and surroundings to determine compliance with standards
- Discipline and attention to detail to strictly adhere to health and safety practices and work environment standards
- Diligent, organized and self-motivated
- Ability to operate independently with minimal supervision
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience as a Dishwasher or in another operational support role at a bakery, restaurant or foodservice environment is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Washing all dishes
- Keeping all walls, floors, shelves and surfaces clean
- Assisting Baker and Froster with daily tasks
- Assisting other departments as needed
- Cleaning refrigerators
- Folding boxes
- Emptying trash and taking to dumpster
- Other general cleaning
