DISHROOM SHIFT SUPERVISOR (FULL TIME)
About The Position
The Dishroom Shift Supervisor directs associates’ activities during a specific shift and oversees completion of assigned job expectations while maintaining policies and procedures. The role is based at Radford University in Radford, Virginia. The position is full time, with open availability required and shifts that may vary. The fixed pay rate is $16.75 per hour. Prior dishroom experience is preferred. The supervisor trains associates, creates work schedules, evaluates performance, and helps ensure the unit meets quality, productivity, and safety expectations. The position may include mentoring employees and supporting their development and advancement. Because services are provided in an educational facility, work may be reduced or paused during school breaks; those periods may be unpaid temporary layoffs, although business needs may require year-round work, potentially at another location during breaks.

Responsibilities
- Direct associates’ activities during a specific shift and oversee completion of assigned job expectations while maintaining policies and procedures.
- Provide training and create work schedules.
- Evaluate workers’ performance, reward high performers, and discipline employees who fail to meet reasonable work-performance standards.
- Prepare production or sales reports for management and ensure the unit meets expectations for quality, productivity, and safety.
- Act as the contact person for employees with complaints or requests for time off.
- Mentor and develop employees and encourage them to set goals and pursue advancement within the organization.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
