About The Position

The Dish position supports the restaurant’s goal of providing guests with a memorable experience by maintaining clean dishes, work areas, and a welcoming restaurant atmosphere. The role involves operating the dish machine, washing dishes, pots, and pans, maintaining sanitation standards, and keeping the kitchen, restrooms, floors, and parking area clean. Dish team members work in a fast-paced environment with frequent interaction and movement, and may perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

• Dependable and able to maintain a flexible schedule.
• Attend and successfully complete required ongoing company, federal, or state training or certification programs related to the position.
• Related restaurant-industry experience and/or training.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Basic reading, writing, and mathematical skills.
• Able to perform the essential functions of the job for up to an 8-hour shift.
• Able to regularly lift and/or move up to 20 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 35 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Maintain high standards of personal hygiene.
• Work cooperatively with all other staff.
• Keep the workstation clean.
• Operate the dish machine using proper chemical levels.
• Follow sanitation regulations and system standards.
• Bus, sort, rinse, and rack dishes after use.
• Wash pots and pans after each use.
• Empty trash cans and keep the dumpster area clean.
• Store silverware in appropriate areas.
• Keep the kitchen supplied with clean dishes.
• Keep floors, work areas, and restrooms clean, including disposing of trash.
• Clean restrooms regularly.
• Keep the parking area clean and free of trash.
• Help maintain a clean and inviting atmosphere for guests.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
