About The Position

Responsible for communicating and coordinating the movement of patients to and from University of Virginia Health using various resources such as ambulances, wheelchair vans, taxis, buses, and other means of transportation. Responsible for communicating with various internal and external customers involved with patient movement and medical center operations. Work requires detailed knowledge of regional geography, familiarity with insurance coverages, and application and interpretation of organizational and departmental policies and procedures. Be the connection that keeps patients moving. In this essential role, you’ll coordinate safe, timely transportation using ambulances, vans, taxis, and more—ensuring every patient journey supports quality care.

Requirements

  • High school diploma/GED
  • Relevant experience in the field.
  • May be required based on position requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate Transport: Manage logistics across multiple transport modes.
