About The Position

LKQ Corporation is seeking a motivated individual to perform quality disassembly work according to Tri Star standards. The role is based in a manufacturing environment, primarily in the warehouse and disassembly area, and requires technical knowledge, the ability to follow instructions, and safe and effective use of tools and equipment. The position involves regular exposure to noise, oil, dust, cleaning chemicals, and potentially hazardous situations, equipment, and conditions.

Requirements

Technical knowledge and ability to read instructions, specifications, drawings, and similar materials.
Ability to use hand tools, pneumatic tools, and power tools.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Good understanding of quality control procedures.
Good verbal communication skills.
Excellent hand-eye coordination and ability to perform the physical requirements of the position.
Ability to stand on cement floors for more than 8 hours.
Ability to lift and install engine components weighing 40 pounds repeatedly and 80 pounds occasionally.
Ability to lift up to 100 pounds.
Ability to work in cramped spaces or underneath vehicles, including in awkward positions.
Ability to perform duties that may involve standing, walking, pushing, pulling, squatting, bending, reaching, climbing stairs, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or sitting for extended periods.

Responsibilities

Safely and effectively complete the quality disassembly process according to Tri Star standards.
Read and follow instructions and established procedures.
Collect the tools needed to complete each procedure.
Recognize the correct orientation of complex components.
Maintain tools and equipment in good condition.
Report issues, malfunctions, or defective components.
Maintain a “Tour Ready” work environment.
