About The Position

The Disassembly Technician I disassembles fuel, oil, or air accessories, excluding fuel controls and governors. The technician performs maintenance tasks on aviation accessories in accordance with current technical data, including Component Maintenance Manuals, Service Bulletins, Service Information Letters, Airworthiness Directives, regulations, and quality procedures acceptable to or approved by the FAA. The position is based in Miramar, Florida, and is full-time. The role is identified as a DOT safety-sensitive position.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED equivalent.
One year of relevant or technical work experience.
Mechanical aptitude.
Flexibility to changing workloads and priorities based on customer requirements.
Ability to maintain an orderly and productive work environment.
Ability to function in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of quality.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and data.
Basic computer operating skills.
Selected applicant must undergo a background check and drug testing.

Nice To Haves

Two years of relevant or technical work experience in the aviation industry.
High mechanical aptitude.

Responsibilities

Disassemble fuel, oil, or air accessories according to written instructions in Component Maintenance Manuals, excluding fuel controls and governors.
Use hand tools daily.
Use specialty tools for precision measurements daily.
Read and interpret technical data and drawings.
Document maintenance records for all repair work orders performed.
Understand and comply with quality and safety requirements.
Provide findings to detail inspection as a method of preliminary inspection.
Identify extra or missing piece parts and note them for further processes.
Contribute to team key performance indicators (KPIs) and wider objectives.
Perform other duties as assigned.
