About The Position

This permanent part-time position in Highett involves providing assistance with activities of daily living and contributing to the development, implementation, and review of Individual Plans. The people you will be supporting are highly independent, love a chat, a coffee and regularly accessing the community and so are after a high energy, experienced disability support worker who is passionate about getting involved in active support. The successful candidate will also have experience working with behaviours of concern and behaviour support plans and must be able to commit to the set roster line below. Please see below roster. Roster Split is 48:30/50:30. Sleepovers required.

Requirements

• Experience with behaviour support plans
• Previous experience in manual handling
• Confidence and experience in providing personal care
• A commitment to supporting and promoting the individual needs, skills, abilities and personal goals of people with disabilities.
• The ability to develop a positive relationship with clients and to support their Individual Personal Plan.
• Cert IV in Disability or similar
• A current Senior First Aid (level 2) Certificate.
• A current unrestricted Driver Licence and willingness to drive a company van.
• Successful candidates will be required to clear probity checks including a National Criminal History Record Check and an International Criminal History Record Check; if you have resided for 12 months or more outside of Australia in the last 10 years.
