Joining our Supported Independent Living (SIL) team on a permanent part time basis, you will provide active support to people with disability living in Mount Waverly. The successful candidate will have previous experience with high physical supports and be passionate about providing active support, encouraging independence and helping people achieve their goals and dreams. You must be able to commit to one of the permanent part time rosters below. Roster Split 34:303/35:00 Roster Split 75:30/76:30 (active over nights) Note, these are set rosters in line with the needs of the people being supported and so cannot be altered.

Requirements

  • Experience with high physical supports and manual handling
  • Confidence and experience in providing personal care
  • Cert IV in Disability or similar
  • A current Senior First Aid (level 2) Certificate.
  • A current unrestricted Driver Licence
  • Willingness and confidence to drive a wheelchair van.
  • A commitment to supporting and promoting the individual needs, skills, abilities and personal goals of people with disabilities.
  • Ability to develop a positive relationship with clients and to support their Individual Personal Plan.
  • Successful candidates will be required to clear probity checks including a National Criminal History Record Check and an International Criminal History Record Check; if you have resided for 12 months or more outside of Australia in the last 10 years.
