This role operates power-driven machinery used to move dirt or other materials. It is a non-exempt role that reports to the Foreman or Site Manager, with duties assigned according to specific procedures and frequent work checks.

Requirements

High school or equivalent
Must have a valid TWIC card in hand
General knowledge of civil construction and excavation
General knowledge of maintaining level grade at defined elevations
Post offer drug / alcohol screen, physical evaluation, and signed acceptance of the company Drug, Alcohol and Contraband Policy

Responsibilities

Moves hand and foot levers to control diesel, electric, gasoline or steam-powered operating equipment.
Interprets hand signals to determine where materials are to be placed.
Reads and interprets load charts.
May assemble or disassemble equipment or material on construction projects.
May be required to manipulate equipment on un-level working surfaces.
May perform maintenance duties such as cleaning, greasing and oiling machines/equipment.
Comply with company and client job site safety requirements.
