Your Impact We are looking for a leader capable of transforming our BIM practices nationally, influencing key technological decisions, and structuring the future of BPA's digital production tools to position the organization as a benchmark in innovation and efficiency. Reporting to the Vice-President of Operational Excellence, you will act as a strategic bridge between engineering teams, information technology (IT), and software development to optimize performance, improve processes, and support the organization's growth.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, architecture, or a relevant field.
  • Strong understanding of the realities of engineering practice and/or consulting engineering.
  • Member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (or equivalent), an asset.
  • 10 to 14 years of relevant experience, including significant experience in BIM/VDC and team management.
  • Bilingualism (French and English, oral and written).
  • Demonstrated experience in digital transformation, process optimization, or deployment of technological solutions.
  • Excellent mastery of BIM environments and data management.
  • Good understanding of systems and technological integrations.
  • Strategic leadership, influence capacity, and ease of operating in a matrix environment.
  • Pragmatism and continuous improvement orientation.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and relationship-building skills.
  • Business acumen, results orientation, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Availability for occasional travel in Canada, depending on organizational needs.
  • Proficiency in English is required to support our activities across Canada and our collaboration with our teams and clients in other provinces.

Responsibilities

  • Define and lead the BIM/VDC strategy in alignment with business objectives, excellence, and the company's organizational and digital transformation, in collaboration with the Vice-President of Operational Excellence.
  • Act as an influential leader and position the added value of proposed tools with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Serve as a strategic link between engineering teams, Software Development, and IT to ensure system integration and evolution.
  • Maintain continuous technological watch, anticipate market evolution, recommend innovative solutions, and ensure the seamless integration of digital tools into operations.
  • Define and lead a BIM/VDC data governance and management strategy throughout the project lifecycle, while ensuring operational fluidity.
  • Ensure the alignment of BIM initiatives with profitability objectives, by maximizing operational efficiency and project performance.
  • Engage concretely with field teams to support tool adoption and ensure solutions are adapted to site realities.
  • Lead, mobilize, and develop the BIM department.
  • Ensure the overall performance of BIM/VDC practices and the quality of deliverables across the company.
  • Standardize processes, methods, and tools to ensure operational consistency and efficiency.
  • Support various departments and teams in adopting digital tools and best practices.
  • Plan technological investments based on the company's strategic priorities, and coordinate budget management with IT.
