Within EY-Parthenon's Strategy and Execution sub service line, the Deal Technology practice works on the most complex and high-profile global transactions, across a broad portfolio of clients and industry sectors. We are a group of experienced industry professionals with a background in IT who are serial transaction advisers, which enables us to bring a wealth of deep sector and functional knowledge to our clients. As a team, we prepare and execute separation and integration plans, identify ideas and sources of value enhancement, as well as advise on risk mitigation and the successful change of operations, functions, and people.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in business, Accounting, Finance, Engineering, Computer Science, Business Information and Operations Management, or Analytics and 5 years of related work experience; or a graduate degree and approximately 3 years of related work experience.
  • Significant management consulting experience.
  • Excellent analytical skills and the confidence to translate complex data into meaningful insights.
  • Experience in business integrations, divestitures, and/or carve-outs with a demonstrated aptitude for quantitative and qualitative analysis.
  • Experience leading and managing in complex business environments.
  • The ability to synthesize approaches to complex integration/divestiture conflicts.
  • Excellent negotiation and influencing skills, and the ability to develop long-lasting relationships both internally and externally.
  • Expertise in a minimum of 4 of the following IT skillsets: IT strategy, Enterprise architecture, Infrastructure and cloud architecture, Cyber and IAM architecture, Digital Technology Strategy, Digital IT operating model transformation, IT cost reduction, IT security / cyber, IT shared services, IT organization transformation, ERP implementation, Digital business enablement using digital technology enablers (i.e., advanced analytics, robotic process automation, virtual reality), Cloud SaaS or PaaS (including Collaboration) strategy and delivery, Cloud IaaS or Data Center migration planning and execution, Identity and Access Management (IAM) / Active Directory services strategy, IT service management, Operations Center (e.g., NOC, SOC) or Managed Service Provider, IT TSA development, IT finance management, IT infrastructure management, IT outsourcing / offshoring, IT contract management, IT or Cyber Diligence, IT synergy identification, Data governance, separation, and transition, Integration and Separation Planning.
  • Experience with and demonstrated success in at least one key business process such as procurement to pay, record to report, order to cash, plan to make, hire to retire.
  • Must either reside in or be in a commutable distance to your office location for this position.
  • The ability and willingness to travel and work in excess of standard hours when necessary.
  • In certain circumstances, travel may be required beyond your work location based on client and project needs.

Nice To Haves

  • MBA is preferred.
  • Certifications in Agile, ITIL, PMP, Six Sigma, CISSP or CISA highly desired.
  • A proven record of excellence in an IT transactions role.
  • Experience gained within another large professional services organization.
  • Knowledge of how to leverage firm-approved AI tools in a business setting, including Microsoft Copilot.
  • Established networking skills in a relevant industry.

Responsibilities

  • Managing and executing IT focused projects across sectors.
  • Developing and executing strategies for transactions.
  • Developing experience in different types of engagements, including pre-deal (e.g., operational and carve-out planning) and post-deal (e.g., integration planning, tracking).
  • Building trusted relationships and influencing client perspectives.
  • Leading problem-solving from beginning to end (problem identification, hypothesis development, synthesis, and recommendation with a compelling narrative).
  • Translating client needs into approach and outcomes for project delivery.
  • Collaborating with project teams comprising colleagues from across the EY-Parthenon sub-service lines.
  • Driving aspects of pursuits, including presentations and client meetings.
  • Contributing to practice development initiatives.
  • Coaching junior colleagues to become high-performing.
  • Learning and developing technical and personal skills to support achievement of career goals.
