About The Position

EY-Parthenon is seeking a Strategy & Operations professional to join their Deal Management team. The role involves preparing and executing spins, divestitures, mergers, and acquisition plans to maximize operational synergies and financial benefits from transactions. The position requires understanding the factors that drive successful deals and applying this knowledge to drive operational value. Support and advice will be provided across the transaction life cycle, including carve-out, due diligence, and integration, for both acquirers and sellers. The focus is on enhancing value, accelerating implementation, and managing operational transaction risk. Specific responsibilities include supporting operational aspects from carve-out readiness, operational due diligence, synergy assessment and delivery, day-one readiness assessment, 100-day planning, and integration process support. The role also involves managing and motivating teams, delivering quality client services, demonstrating technical capabilities, maintaining client relationships, and cultivating business development opportunities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Computer Science, Analytics, Engineering, the Sciences, Economics, Law, or a related field and 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate work experience.
  • Alternatively, a Master’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Computer Science, Analytics, Engineering, the Sciences Economics, Law, or related field and 3 years of work experience.
  • 3 years of experience in conducting assessments of technology, finance, operations, manufacturing, or supply chain infrastructure.
  • 2 years of experience in business integrations, divestitures, or carve-outs including 2 years of experience with quantitative and qualitative analysis.
  • 2 years of experience in managing cross-functional workstreams for the integration or separation of client operations, including contract separation or legal entity operationalization.
  • 2 years of experience in a consulting or professional services firm in mergers and acquisitions, which includes experience in one or a combination of any of the following: merger integrations, divestitures, or carve-outs.
  • 2 years of experience in synthesizing approaches in complex integration or divestiture conflicts.
  • 2 years of experience in project management, including managing, developing and coaching professional employees.
  • 2 years of experience in developing client leadership level materials for the integration or separation of client operations.
  • 1 year of experience in supporting business development, including developing C-suite level proposal materials.
  • 1 year of experience in project or engagement management, including managing engagements and engagement related budgets and applying it to business development, pricing efforts or proficiency while managing live deals or engagements.
  • Domestic and international travel up to 80% to serve client needs.

  • Provide operationally focused support and advice across the transaction life cycle (including carve-out, due diligence and integration), whether supporting an acquirer or seller.
  • Focus on enhancing value, accelerating implementation and managing operational transaction risk.
  • Support and advise on operational aspects, from carve-out readiness and support, operational due diligence, synergy assessment and delivery, day-one readiness assessment and 100-day planning, to support the integration process.
  • Manage and motivate teams of professionals with diverse skills and backgrounds.
  • Consistently deliver quality client services by monitoring progress.
  • Demonstrate in-depth technical capabilities and professional knowledge.
  • Maintain long-term client relationships and networks.
  • Cultivate business development opportunities.
