About The Position

Suno is building the world's first creative entertainment platform where everyone can create music. As the company scales, they are hiring a Director, Workplace Experience & Real Estate to lead the strategy, growth, and operations of their workplace footprint across Cambridge, New York, San Francisco, and Los Angeles. This is a highly cross-functional leadership role that blends and scales real estate strategy, financial analysis, employee experience, facility operations, and workplace security. The role owner will be responsible for how the environments function and feel, ensuring every Suno workspace supports creativity, collaboration, operational excellence, culture, and employer brand. Reporting to the VP, People and serving on the People Leadership Team, this role will partner closely with leaders across Operations, Finance, IT, Security, Internal Communications, and Brand & Creative. The role is based in New York City or Cambridge and will require regular travel between offices. Suno is looking for a builder who is strategic, operational, and hands-on.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in workplace operations, facilities, real estate, or related operational leadership roles.
  • Experience leading workplace strategy and office operations within high-growth or multi-site organizations.
  • Proven track record managing office expansions, build-outs, and vendor ecosystems across multiple regions.
  • Strong people management experience, including leading distributed or multi-site teams.
  • Experience partnering with Internal Communications, Employer Branding, or Employee Experience teams to deliver cohesive workplace programming and communications.
  • Experience developing workplace safety procedures, incident response plans, and operational continuity protocols.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage complex initiatives simultaneously.
  • Experience managing budgets, contracts, and operational planning at scale.
  • Ability to travel regularly between Suno office locations.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Suno’s real estate strategy and workplace footprint planning across existing and future office locations.
  • Drive end-to-end office sourcing, evaluation, lease negotiation, build-out, and launch processes for new and expanding spaces.
  • Partner with executive leadership to align workplace investments and geographic strategy with company growth plans.
  • Build scalable frameworks for occupancy planning, workplace standards, vendor procurement, and operational consistency across locations.
  • Manage relationships with brokers, landlords, architects, project managers, and external partners.
  • Oversee day-to-day operations across all Suno offices, ensuring spaces are functional, welcoming, safe, and high-performing.
  • Lead workplace programs and processes spanning facilities management, office services, maintenance, security coordination, and employee support.
  • Partner closely with IT and Security teams to ensure seamless workplace infrastructure and operational readiness.
  • Develop systems and standards that create consistency while allowing flexibility for local office needs.
  • Own operational readiness planning for workplace disruptions, including major weather events, transit interruptions, utility outages, civil unrest, and other emergency situations.
  • Monitor local authority guidance and health and safety recommendations across office locations, ensuring Suno offices remain compliant, prepared, and employee-centered.
  • Build and maintain clear incident response playbooks and communication protocols to support employee safety and business continuity during emergencies.
  • Shape an exceptional employee experience through thoughtful workplace design, hospitality, and operational excellence.
  • Ensure Suno offices reflect and reinforce our culture, creativity, and brand identity across every employee touchpoint.
  • Partner closely with Internal Communications and Employer Branding teams to integrate the Suno brand into workplace programming, office outfitting, signage, events, and in-office experiences.
  • Develop communication rhythms and local office programming that keep employees informed, connected, and engaged with what’s happening across their workplaces.
  • Partner with People, Recruiting, and Internal Events teams to support onboarding, programming, offsites, and employee experiences.
  • Own hospitality standards, office amenities, food & beverage programs, and workplace services across locations.
  • Anticipate organizational needs and proactively solve operational challenges before they impact employees.
  • Negotiate and manage leases, renewals, and workplace vendor agreements in partnership with Finance and Legal.
  • Own workplace and facilities budgets across multiple regions, balancing employee experience with operational efficiency.
  • Track key contractual obligations, timelines, and capital projects to ensure compliance and strong execution.
  • Evaluate opportunities to improve space utilization, reduce operational friction, and optimize spend.
  • Build, lead, and develop a high-performing workplace team across multiple offices and geographies.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, responsiveness, collaboration, and service excellence across the workplace function.
  • Provide strong people leadership through coaching, performance management, prioritization, and team development.
  • Establish scalable playbooks and processes for office launches, workplace operations, employee support, and crisis response.
  • Create operational rigor through clear systems, documentation, service standards, and accountability.
  • Serve as a trusted cross-functional partner and leader during periods of rapid growth and organizational change.
