About The Position

The Director, Workforce Planning leads complex projects to develop and implement workforce analytics, evaluation strategies, and improvement initiatives aligned with enterprise goals. This role oversees data integration, forecasting accuracy, and cross-functional collaboration to optimize workforce management. The director drives strategic business planning, resource allocation, and performance measurement while fostering continuous learning and operational excellence. By guiding teams and engaging stakeholders, this position ensures effective execution of workforce planning programs that support organizational objectives and promote a culture of integrity, accountability, and sustained business success. About the team: The Seller Support and Risk Operations team empowers sellers to succeed on Walmart Marketplace by delivering strategic workforce planning and data-driven solutions. This team leads complex projects, leveraging business intelligence, statistical analysis, and cross-functional collaboration to optimize workforce management and operational efficiency. Members develop and implement actionable strategies aligned with enterprise goals, ensuring accurate forecasting and continuous improvement. The team fosters a culture of integrity, accountability, and excellence, driving impactful results that support both sellers and Walmart’s broader business objectives. What you'll do: Lead and execute complex workforce planning projects, converting requirements into actionable business intelligence and analytical solutions. Develop and implement workforce analytics, evaluation strategies, and improvement plans aligned with enterprise objectives. Collaborate with cross-functional leaders to validate workforce data, forecast accurately, and support annual operational planning. Oversee project execution, resource allocation, and progress monitoring while ensuring compliance with company policies and standards. Drive talent development initiatives including capability gap analysis, recruitment support, mentorship, and succession planning. Foster strong partnerships and communicate project outcomes to stakeholders to support business goals and continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Analytics, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or related field and 5 years’ experience in data management, business analytics, statistics, or related area OR 7 years’ experience in data analysis, statistics, computer science, or related area.
  • 2 years’ supervisory experience.
