About The Position

Solutions 2 GO is a premier global distributor of video game products with operations in 19 countries. We are seeking a Director of Warehouse Operations to join our leadership team in Louisville, Kentucky. This role is responsible for driving strategic and operational excellence within our fast-paced, multi-channel distribution center. The position involves developing and executing supply chain strategies to optimize performance across Distribution Operations, Logistics, Inventory Control, and Continuous Improvement. Additionally, the Director will lead the Customer Service function to ensure a high-quality customer experience. The ideal candidate is a strong leader with a proven track record of building high-performing teams, fostering an inclusive culture, and collaborating effectively across departments. This role is critical in shaping operational execution, enhancing employee engagement, and maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in an Operations Manager or Director-level role within an automated distribution environment, with strong knowledge of both inbound and outbound operations.
  • Proven experience in developing and managing annual operating budgets.
  • Strong financial acumen with a consistent track record of achieving and exceeding goals related to safety, quality, efficiency, and cost control.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead complex projects and drive timely, effective solutions.
  • Skilled in communicating, presenting, and influencing key stakeholders across all levels of the organization.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey information clearly and professionally to internal teams and external partners.
  • Collaborative and solutions-oriented mindset, with a focus on exceeding team-based performance goals.
  • Strong analytical, planning, and organizational skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and comfortable working with operational systems and data tools.
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced, hands-on management environment that demands adaptability, decisiveness, and proactive leadership.
  • Must be fully available during the holiday period from October through December; (including Thanksgiving and the day after Thanksgiving). Candidates that are unavailable during these periods will not be considered, as this is a company-wide blackout policy.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct leadership for a multi-channel distribution operation, including Warehouse Operations, Labor Planning, Budgeting/P&L, and Customer Service.
  • Develop a deep understanding of the business and operational landscape to identify strategic, innovative solutions that support growth and scalability.
  • Present operational updates, performance metrics, and strategic recommendations to diverse audiences, including the executive leadership team; effectively communicate complex concepts in a clear and actionable manner.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between customers, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure seamless execution of operational goals and initiatives.
  • Lead and mentor team members to uphold company policies and procedures, as well as regional, regulatory, and industry compliance requirements.
  • Promote and maintain a safe, compliant, and productive work environment by enforcing established safety standards and adhering to all applicable legal and regulatory guidelines.
  • Analyze operational performance trends, KPIs, and financial data to develop and execute data-driven strategies aligned with organizational objectives; monitor outcomes and adjust plans as needed to drive continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with corporate functional leaders — including Finance, Facilities, Human Resources, Marketing, Research, and Sales Enablement — to support and deliver on key business priorities.
  • Partner with the Vice President of Operations (U.S.) to lead operational and transformative change, ensuring successful adoption of new programs that drive sustainable, profitable growth.
  • Stay informed on evolving industry standards, technologies, and customer expectations within the supply chain and distribution space to maintain a competitive edge.
  • Lead the Customer Service function to ensure a consistent, high-quality customer experience; drive initiatives that enhance responsiveness, issue resolution, and satisfaction across all channels.
  • Monitor and manage Customer Service performance to ensure service level agreements (SLAs) are met or exceeded, while strengthening key strategic relationships.
  • Develop, track, and report on key operational KPIs, ensuring alignment with performance goals related to cost per unit, productivity, accuracy, and service levels.
  • Represent Solutions 2 GO as an operational ambassador by actively participating in cross-functional meetings, serving as a subject matter expert, and modeling leadership behaviors that foster a culture of trust, reliability, and both physical and psychological safety.
