About The Position

Oversees the strategic development and operational management of urgent care facilities, ensuring high-quality patient care, efficient service delivery, and compliance with healthcare regulations while fostering collaboration among healthcare providers and stakeholders. Must be able to work all shifts occasionally and be accessible to team by phone 24/7.

Requirements

  • BSN, Master’s Degree in nursing, hospital administration, business administration or other related field, required.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and customer service skills required.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities.
  • Ability to promote multidisciplinary collaboration and act as a facilitator and change agent.
  • High level of initiative, self-direction, and accountability, required.
  • Valid Ohio driver’s license and proof of auto insurance is required by hospital policy.
  • Must pass a motor vehicle background inspection, insurance eligibility, driving qualifications and training set forth by Nationwide Children’s Hospital and must maintain qualification of insurance guidelines.

Nice To Haves

  • Three years of progressively responsible experience in health care management and area or expertise, preferred.
  • Supervisory experience a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitates collaboration with all members of the patient care team to assure the provision of high-quality patient care using the family-centered care model.
  • Oversees the strategic planning and development of the urgent care network.
  • Collaborates with the medical and hospital leadership to assure achievement of financial goals and effective program development.
  • Responsible for budgeting and financial stewardship.
  • Manages the operational performance and quality of care across all urgent care facilities.
  • Oversees the delivery of patient care and services by all professional and support staff within the department.
  • Collaborates with healthcare providers to ensure compliance with departmental, state, federal, and governmental policies, procedures, regulations, and standards.
  • Develops and participates in the review of other policies and procedures as appropriate.
  • Facilitates training and development programs for staff to enhance clinical skills.
  • Provides leadership and or professional direction and acts as a department resource.
  • Coordinates networking and continuing education opportunities covering clinical, diversity, research, and inter-department awareness.
