About The Position

As the Director, University Relations & Early Career Programs for Honeywell Technologies, you will lead the strategy, partnerships, and programs that shape the future talent pipeline for one of the world's leading technology and industrial innovation organizations. This global, highly visible leadership role is responsible for attracting, engaging, and developing the next generation of engineers, technologists, researchers, and business talent who will power Honeywell Technologie's future growth. You will establish and expand strategic partnerships with leading universities and academic institutions, drive enterprise-wide early career hiring strategies, and oversee innovative internship, co-op, and development programs that create meaningful pathways into Honeywell Technologies. Working closely with senior business leaders, HR partners, and external stakeholders, you will help position Honeywell Technologies as an employer of choice for emerging talent across critical skill areas. You will report directly to the Vice President, Talent Acquisition and work from our Charlotte, NC location on a hybrid work schedule. This role requires approximately 10% travel to engage with universities, industry partners, and business stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience leading university relations, campus recruiting, early career talent, workforce pipeline, or related talent acquisition programs.
  • Proven success developing and executing large-scale talent strategies within a complex, matrixed organization.
  • Experience building strategic partnerships with universities, academic institutions, and external talent organizations.
  • Demonstrated experience leading global teams, programs, budgets, vendors, and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Strong executive communication and influencing skills, with the ability to align senior leaders around enterprise talent priorities.
  • Expertise in recruiting metrics, talent analytics, program measurement, and continuous improvement.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • 8+ years of progressive experience in university relations, early career talent management, talent acquisition, or a related discipline.
  • Experience leading programs across multiple regions or within a global operating environment.
  • Deep understanding of future workforce trends, skills-based talent strategies, and emerging talent markets.
  • Experience building high-impact internship, co-op, rotational, apprenticeship, or leadership development programs.
  • Strong strategic thinking, analytical capability, executive presence, and relationship-building skills.
  • A passion for developing future talent and creating inclusive pathways to career success.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the enterprise strategy for university relations and early career talent acquisition across Honeywell Technologies.
  • Build and sustain strategic partnerships with leading universities, research institutions, faculty leaders, professional associations, and industry organizations to expand access to high-demand talent.
  • Lead the design, governance, and continuous improvement of internship, co-op, apprenticeship, rotational, and entry-level programs that deliver meaningful experiences and strong conversion and retention outcomes.
  • Partner with business and HR leaders to anticipate future workforce needs and translate talent plans into targeted university and early career strategies.
  • Elevate Honeywell Technologies's employer brand among students, graduates, faculty, and career communities through innovative engagement, marketing, and candidate experience strategies.
  • Establish program governance, performance metrics, and executive reporting to measure hiring outcomes, program effectiveness, representation, conversion, retention, and return on investment.
  • Lead and develop a high-performing team responsible for university relations, campus recruiting, and early career program execution.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leaders on talent market trends, emerging skills, university partnerships, and future workforce opportunities.
  • Drive consistency and scale across regions while enabling programs and partnerships to reflect local talent markets and business priorities.
