About The Position

MHP is looking to hire someone for the full-time Division Director of the Training Institute@MHP. This role provides strategic and operational leadership for the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of evidence-based, peer-supported recovery curricula and practices that drive positive outcomes for participants. The Division Director oversees the design, development, delivery, and evaluation of the Institute’s training products and services, while ensuring the effective day-to-day management of program operations. In addition, the Division Director serves as the primary liaison with funding organizations and external partners, and coordinates closely with MHP’s Finance, Human Resources, Information Technology, and Compliance departments to ensure alignment, operational excellence, and the successful delivery of Institute programs and services. This is a hybrid position based on the needs of the program. The position is located at 833 Chestnut St, Suite 1100, Philadelphia, PA 19107. The hybrid schedule requires three consecutive days in-office. The schedule will be Monday - Friday, 8:00AM - 4:00PM (Can also be 8:30AM - 4:30PM or 9:00AM - 5:00PM).

Requirements

Master's degree in education, Communication, Organizational Development, Psychology, Business Administration or related field.
5+ years’ experience as management in a behavioral health environment.
5+ years of related experience, specifically in developing and writing curriculum.
Must possess basic computer skills to perform job duties including desktop computing, e-mail, timesheet management, electronic health records, internet research, etc. using relevant software.
Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service.
Knowledge of clinical theory and practice, community resources and systems, financial/social resources, and experience in interviewing, assessment and implementation.
Experience using online learning technology.
Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to collaborate with senior leaders.
Ability to understand and effectively manage a program budget.
Able to plan and manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
Strong oral and written communications skills.
Strong skillsets in oral and written communication, cultural competence, interpersonal relationships and teamwork, attention to detail, customer service, time management, autonomy, problem solving and organization; must be patient and tactful, with the ability to work cooperatively with a wide variety of individuals including participants with mental health conditions.
Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices.
Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective and collaborative work relationships with the public.

Responsibilities

Leads the overall service coordination consistent with MHP & regulatory standards, guidelines and goals; ensures adherence with all accreditations, certification and regulatory standards if applicable; ensures agency program policy manuals are consistent and adhere to with applicable state, county and federal mandates.
Cultivates and maintains working relationships with external stakeholders, i.e. behavioral health organizations, government agencies, healthcare providers, schools and other community organizations, i.e. the PDN (Peer Development Network) to create and/or strengthen MHP training services and referrals.
Hires, trains, evaluates and develops staff in support of MHP operational plans and program policies and procedures; address and monitor the goals and performance of staff and takes corrective action as necessary.
Ensures that best practices in learning, change and, organizational transformation are used to develop impactful and scalable programs and services that reflect leading trends in recovery (emotional and psychological distress and substance abuse), trauma, emotional and psychological well-being and integrated health.
Oversees the design, development and revision of new and existing curricula and supplemental course/learner materials.
Ensures that needs assessment on training and curricula are conducted on a consistent basis to respond to any needed updates and/or improvements.
Develops an updated competitive analysis of organizations who offer CPS & CRS training.
Develops and implements systems to evaluate and report on the quality and effectiveness of services and programs offered by the Institute@MHP by creating, measuring and reporting on outcomes and customer satisfaction.
Identifies organizational learning priorities, key performance outcomes and recommends solutions to address knowledge, skill, and behavioral gaps.
Establishes and implements processes, practices and infrastructure that improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the Institute’s training operations and the development and delivery of its products and services.
Ensures that courses are scheduled appropriately, assigns training staff, determines need for outside Subject Matter Experts and facilitators; provides orientation and training as needed.
Reviews and approves employees’ electronic health record entries as necessary; ensures electronic health record systems operate effectively for local, county and state reporting purposes and creates and submits accurate funder reports in a timely manner.
Analyzes course offerings and develops content, materials, multimedia visual aids, various delivery methodologies and techniques and other materials according to MHP/Institute branding and quality standards.
Collaborates with and consults to other departments in MHP to ensure training programs and organizational development processes are aligned and integrated with departmental needs.
Ensures that all training has written communication plans that accompany the overall design plan.
Contribute to the development of trainers by analyzing and evaluating their competencies.
Identifies potential staff from course participants and works to find employment for them at MHP.
Coordinates with Business Development Specialist to provide matrix oversight on Credible EHR and Relias as management and analytic tools for Institute data.
Collaborates with the Manager – Grants & Contracts to seek and apply for additional funding opportunities.
Develops and monitors division budgets; implements and manages expense and revenue controls. Alerts senior management of overtime and overruns, makes recommendations and implements solutions to related issues.
Ensures division is in compliance with all other established quality and regulatory standards, including supervision and training requirements.
Attends and testifies at unemployment hearings as needed.
Reports any activities that may violate established laws, regulations, policies or procedures. Raises questions about any actions contrary to law or policy taken by another staff member or employee or yourself and reports the matter to management or to the Director – Compliance and/or Human Resources.
